Stage Education is a flexi-schooling programme designed to work in partnership with schools. Pupils remain fully enrolled, with one day per week authorised as off-site education under Code B (educated offsite and not negatively compromising their attendance).
Many schools already grant this flexibility for football and sport. The performing arts deserve the same recognition. Not every child thrives solely at a desk, some excel when their passion is nurtured alongside their education.
Key Points for Schools
Pupils remain fully connected to mainstream education. Study time is built into the Stage timetable for schoolwork if required.
If a pupil falls behind school standards, permission may be revoked.
Training leads to Ofqual-regulated exams, with higher grades carrying UCAS points.
Granting Permission
Schools may confirm permission on letterhead or by email to info@stageed.com. stating:
1.The pupil may attend Stage Education one day per week (Friday).
2.Attendance will be recorded as Code B.
3.Permission is conditional on academic standards being
maintained.
By granting permission, you are supporting gifted and talented pupils
to thrive in both their studies and the arts
WHAT IS FLEXI SCHOOLING?
SAFE GUARDING
We follow national safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance. All staff are enhanced DBS checked and trained in safeguarding practice.
PASTORAL CARE
Dedicated Pastoral Support: Every pupil has access to pastoral care, ensuring their emotional, social, and academic needs are monitored and supported
WELL BEING
We integrate sessions on resilience, confidence, mental health awareness, and self-care, giving pupils tools that serve them on and off the stage.
